CASology #121

Hello,

I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for Challenge #121 over at the CASology blog. The theme this week is festive. I chose to make a card in lieu of a tag for this challenge. When I think of the word festive, I think of Santa! I inked up this cute image from the Wplus9 Iconic Christmas set and added a few sequins and patterned paper.

Thank you for stopping by.

CAS(E) this Sketch #100

Hello crafty friends...

I'm popping in today to share some exciting news. CAS(E) this Sketch is celebrating its 100th sketch and Chrissy has invited all old and new DT members back this week to participate in the fun! CAS(E) this Sketch has always been and always will be one of my favorite challenge sites. The sketches are always fresh and fun and the talent on the DT is top notch.

The sketch this week is so fun. I decided to jazz my card up with a little patterned paper, a sentiment and some sparkle. Who doesn't love sparkles?

I hope you can join in the fun over at the BLOG! I can't wait to see what you create. I also heard that there is something special for the winner.

Thank you Chrissy and the DT for letting me join in this week.

Fusion + CASology

Hello crafters...

Wow has it been a long time since I have blogged or much less crafted. Some of you may have noticed my absence the past 11 months. Why you may ask? Because the hubby and I had a little bambino! He is a doll and we are having so much fun with him.

Alright on to a card I made for the latest Fusion ombre challenge and CASology sea challenge. I was so inspired by the blue ombre cake image from the Fusion theme and thought that it would work well with a sea theme. Since I've been dying to ink up this cute little whale, I was itching for a reason to use it!

Thank you so much for visiting. I want to leave you with a little pic of our new addition Max.

Paper Crafter's Library

Hello friends!

Sorry it's been awhile since I've last posted but the holiday season has taken hold of me and I've been super busy.

I was so excited to receive an email from Andrea at Paper Crafter's Library asking if I would be interested in being spotlighted this week at Paper Crafter's Library. Of course I was thrilled and said "Absolutely"!

I would love it if you popped over to see my card and article. You can find it here. Below is a sneak peek. Thank you so much Andrea and the rest of the Paper Crafter's Library team!

Welcome Home Challenge

Hello friends,

Hope your week is going great! Elections were yesterday and during this time our church always has a BBQ chicken dinner at night. The hubby and I went to it and the chicken was soooo good, Yummy! I look forward to it every year.

I wanted to pop in quickly to share a card I made for the latest Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. The theme this week is "Welcome Home". I used a set from Freshly Squeezed Stamps to create this scene.

Thank you for stopping by today,

Addicted to CAS (1 Layer)

Hello friends!

I'm popping in to share a card I made for the latest Addicted to CAS Challenge #25. The theme this week is one layer cards. In my opinion, these are the best type of cards to make for Christmas. They are easy and there is no extra postage when sending them. Right?

I used my "Iconic Christmas" set from Wplus9 to create these wonderful silhouettes. This is one of my go to sets for Christmas.

Thanks you so much for stopping by and leaving the nicest comments.

Muse Challenge #41

Hello friends,

Hope your having a great weekend. The hubby and I went last night to see "Ender's Game". It was really a great movie. What did you do?

I also managed to get a little crafting in. I made a card for the latest Muse Challenge #41. The Muse inspiration this week is Janet Ribet and her card is absolutely adorable. I was inspired by the Christmas tree theme and the sloped winter wonderland background. I just adore her bubble tree! I had to stick with a more traditional Christmas tree and added a little girl trimming the tree. The silhouettes I used are from the "Iconic Christmas" set by Wplus9. This is one of my favorite holiday sets.

AE October Sketch Challenge

Hello friends,

Hope you had a great weekend! The hubby and I went to Dave and Busters yesterday. One just opened not far from us and we had such a great time. For those of you that don't know, Dave and Busters is a huge restaurant / video arcade place for not only kids but adults as well. What did you do?

I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest AE October Sketch Challenge. I just love the sketch this month and couldn't wait to play along. The winner will receive a guest spot for a month. How cool is that?

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Muse Challenge #40

Hello friends,

I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #40. The Muse this week is a fun and crafty lady named Darnell. She is one of the friendliest bloggers I know and she always tells the funniest stories on her blog.

I was inspired by her card in many ways. First I looked at it as a sketch and rotated it on its side. I created the landscape (water, ground and grass) with layered paper, which was inspired by her layered patterned paper. I hope you can see what inspired me!

From Blond to Brunette

Hello crafty friends...

Sorry it has been so long since I have last posted. I have been super busy. My dad and his friend came up to visit the hubby and I in New York for a week. He is from Arkansas and hasn't flown in 39 years! He was so nervous with flying but after he did it, he claimed that the worrying was all in his head and flying was no big deal. LOL! Hopefully this means more trips to come.

I had sometime last night to create a card with some of my new Avery Elle stamps. I love these flower images. They are so pretty. I know this card looks like a Spring card in lieu of Fall but hey whatever works, right? I really need to get a jump on my Christmas cards because I have yet to make a single one.

On my last post I noted that I had went from blond to brunette and some of you asked for a pic. Well here it is. This actually is my natural color believe it or not. I kept thinking to myself that hey my eyebrows now match my hair. LOL!

Bundle Of Joy

Hello friends,

Hope your having a great weekend so far and was able to get your craft on yesterday for WCMD! I was able to craft a little bit but then I had a hair appointment to go from blond to brown. It is drastic but I love it.

My boss needed a baby card for someone she knows so she asked if I would make her one. This is what I came up with. I used various patterned papers that I thought worked well together. Fingers crossed that she likes it.

Happy WCMD!

Good morning and Happy World Card Making Day to my crafty friends out there! I wanted to make a Fall themed card for today because it is in the air, where I live. I am drinking a Pumpkin Spice Latte as I type.

I bought this cute wreath set from Avery Elle during their recent release and I just love it! I added a few sequins for some flair. I wanted to enter this card into a couple of challenges Addicted to CAS #23 and CAS-ual Fridays #116.

What are you doing for WCMD?

Thanks for stopping by,

Muse Challenge #33

Hello to you!

I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #33. Laurie's card example this week is top notch! I was so inspired by the layout and kept pretty much with the exact one. For the sentiment I found one in my stash that had a Hello in it and added that with a few embellishments.

Seize the Sketch #3

Hello crafty friends,

Hope your doing well! I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Seize the Sketch Challenge #3. What a fun sketch this week. I used a shaped set form Avery Elle (Rounded Diamonds) to create my background.

Thursday night I went out with some of my girlfriends to see Maroon 5. We had so much fun! We had lawn seats, so we brought our lawn chairs and found the perfect spot to showcase our dance moves. LOL! I wanted to share a quick pic with you.

Thanks for stopping by,

Muse Challenge #32

Hello crafty friends,

Hope your having a great weekend. The hubby and I just got back from eating at Joe's Crab Shack. I had the lobster feast. Yummy! Now I am stuffed. LOL!

I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #32. Isn't Lori's card so cute with the butterflies? I was inspired by the layout of the card. I tried to think of this layout as a sketch and placed my paper panel, enamel dots and sentiment in a similar location.

Avery Elle August Challenge

Hello crafty friends,

It is no secret how much I looooooove Avery Elle stamps and each month they have a Challenge where the winner wins a guest spot. I couldn't resist getting inky and trying my luck! I stamped up a couple of images from the latest new release (Home Sweet Home and Fill In The Blank).

CAS(e) This Sketch #42

Hello crafty friends,

I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest CAS(e) this Sketch Challenge #42. What a fun sketch. When I saw the sentiment bubble I thought it had a similar shape to my trailer image. I have been wanting so badly to ink up my new Avery Elle stamps so this gave me an excuse!

Hope your having a great week!

Seize The Sketch #2

Hello friends,

Hope your having a great start to the week. I made some time this weekend to do a little crafting because I wanted to play in a new challenge I discovered recently called Seize the Sketch! What a great concept and a good way to jump start your mojo. This card is for the most recent challenge #2.

On a side note did any of you watch the VMA's on MTV last night? There was a huge piece on Justin Timberlake. Wow can he dance and sing!

Thanks for stopping by,

Muse Challenge #31

Hello crafty friends,

It's the weekend so what do you have planned? The hubby and I are having someone come over and give us an estimate on new carpet. Hopefully it will be within our budget and we will have another piece of our home renovated. We will see!

I was able to catch up on a little crafting last night. I made a card for the latest Muse Challenge #31. The card this week is by Marion. I was inspired by the flowers and the color pink. I did use a different gradient of pink though. I also wanted to do a similar stripe and sentiment across the bottom of the flowers to tie everything together like hers.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Moxie Fab Trendy Triangles

Hello crafty friends,

How's your week going? The hubby and I had such a great time last night. One of our little nieces came to visit. Every summer my MIL has "nana camp", where her two grand daughters come and visit for a week to go shopping, see a movie and basically a time of spoiling them. LOL! My little niece Addison came at the beginning of the week and my other niece Mackenzie will come towards the end of the week. They alternate time so that all our attention is focused on just one.

Last night after pizza and ice cream Addison was wired. She was dancing and singing. Little kids are just the cutest!

I did want to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Moxie Fab Trendy Triangles Challenge.

Thank you so much for popping by,

Muse Challenge #30

Hello friends,

I hope your week is going well! I wanted to pop in quickly to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #30. The inspirational card this week is by Therese.

I just adore her card so much. I was inspired by the colored background. I wanted to create something similar but with an ombre pattern of blue. I also used a similar bird image and highlighted it as a silhouette.

I wanted to thank all of you who have taken the time to leave me comments. I know I was on a blogging break for a while and I appreciate you sticking with me.

Take care,
Brandi

Hello

Hello friends,

Hope your having a great week. I found this card the other day and realized I never posted it. I used this sweet heart background from Sweet Stamp Shop during their release a long time ago. LOL! Better late than never, right?

Thanks for popping in,

Curtain Call Challenge

Hello friends,

Hope your week is going well. I started my week off with a yoga class last night and had such a blast. It was my first time going and I loved every minute of it. I'm hooked! Do any of you guys do yoga?

On a crafty note, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Curtain Call Inspirational Challenge. The photo this week is a stunner. Right? I love the color combination!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit!
