Muse Challenge #10

Image
Hey friends, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #10. The muse this week is none other than the fabulous Ardyth! I have been a follower of hers for a while now and just love her clean and simple approach to cards! I was inspired by the color combination of her card, so I made sure to maintain bright and bold colors throughout. I also wanted to create a background, similar to hers with some fun shapes. So I chose to use some background stamps I recently bought from Mama Elephant. Enjoy your weekend! Brandi

Hello friends and good morning to you! I'm so excited because today is the day I'm guest designing over at the Sweet Stamp Shop blog. I would love if you could hop over and check it out! I created a couple of cards using the "Chalkboard Sign" stamp set that was released this month. This set is so cute and full of so many fun images. I couldn't wait to ink it up! If you would like to purchase this set, you can stop by the store blog here! Thank you so much Nicole for having me this month and thank you to all that have stopped by for a visit! Brandi

CASology Challenge #36

Image
Hey friends, Hope your having a great weekend! Yesterday the hubby and I went to see the movie "Olympus Has Fallen" and it was so good and action packed. Afterwards we had a late lunch at Red Lobster because we had about three gift cards to use. LOL! I wanted to pop in quickly to share a card I made for the latest CASology Challenge #36. The key word this week is "Song". One of my favorite songs is "Crazy Love" (the Aaron Neville version). If you're not familiar with the song you can find it on YouTube here. There is a lyric in the song that goes "She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love" and that is what I based my card off of. Thanks for stopping by for a visit, Brandi

Pinspired Challenge #5

Image
Hey friends, Hope your week is going well. We ended up getting a little over a foot of snow yesterday and today marks the beginning of Spring. LOL! You know what can put you in the mood for Spring? The inspirational board from the latest Pinspired Challenge #5. Wow are these bright and fun Spring colors or what? I pulled out some of my newest stamps from Avery Elle and got to work. I kept my design pretty simple with decorating the popped up white panel. Thanks for stopping by for a visit, Brandi

Speech Bubble Part Two

Image
Hey friends, Well it's a couple of days until spring and we were just slammed with a snowstorm overnight. I can't complain too much because it's so pretty outside. Now the dilemma is snow blowing the driveway. LOL! I did want to pop in quickly to share another card for the latest Moxie Fab Speech Bubble Challenge.  My card is similar to the previous speech bubble card I made here but with more masculine colors.  Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Avery Elle Challenge

Hey friends, Happy St. Patty's Day to you! Do you have any plans for today? Are you wearing green? LOL! Hopefully the hubby and I will be able to get out a bit. He's been pretty sick so our days lately have been low key watching movies. We watched "Life of Pi" the other day and it was so good. I wish I saw it in the theater because the visual effects are amazing. It would've been nice to see it in 3D on the big screen. Have you seen it? I'm so excited to participate in my first Avery Elle Challenge. I've loved these stamps since their store opened but only recently was able to buy some. They are the cutest and ink up so well! I focused on some of the colors from the inspirational photo (blue and gray) and rolled with it. Thanks for stopping by for a visit, Brandi

Speech Bubbles

Image
Hey friends, It's Friday, Woo-hoo! The weekend is right around the corner. Do you have any fun plans? A couple of weeks ago I won some awesome blog candy from my friend Amy. In the package was this speech bubble stamp from Hero Arts. Who knew it would come in handy so soon. I used it over and over again to create this card for the latest Moxie Fab World Card Creations Speech Bubble  Challenge. Thanks Amy for the awesome candy and thank you all for stopping by, Brandi

Moxie Fab Ombre Challenge

Image
Hello friends, Hope your week is going well. Last night the hubby and I rented the movie Wreck It Ralph. It's a Disney movie and oh so cute. The concept of the movie is that the characters inside arcade video games come to life and hang out with each other when the owner of the arcade store is not around. The movie had so many game references and cute ideas. I always think that the people that come up with Disney movies are so creative and witty. Have you seen the movie? I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Moxie Fab World Card Creation Week Ombre Challenge. Ombre is when color graduates from light to dark on a surface. I created this affect with my border stamps in the background. All of my stamps are from the latest release by Avery Elle. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Sweet Stamp Release Day One

Image
Hey friends, I'm so excited to be a March Guest Designer for Sweet Stamp Shop. Today I get to show you a little peek into some of the images that will be released soon! How exciting is that? The set I'm working with is called "Chalkboard". I know that creating your own chalkboard background is all the rage lately. I chose to use this set in a different way to show you how versatile it can be. I highlighted some of the various sentiments and banner by paper piecing them. Isn't this set the cutest? I tell you in my honest opinion, I find that these stamps ink up so well and are flawless when stamping. That is very important to me. I hope you can hop over to the Sweet Stamp Shop blog for more sneak peeks into "Chalkboard" and another new fun set "Kiss Me".  You won't be disappointed!!! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Muse Challenge #7

Image
Hey friends, Happy Weekend! Woo hoo! I'm about to head out the door to get some more blond back into my locks. I find going to the hairdresser so relaxing because I don't have to do anything for a good couple of hours but catch up on the latest gossip. LOL! Do you get an ear full of the happenings in your town when you go to the hair dresser? I wanted to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #7.  The muse this week is none other than the fabulous Laurie. Girl if you are out there reading this, take a bow because your card this week rocks! I was inspired by the subtle design at the upper left hand of the card. I tried to recreate a similar affect with some background stamps. I continued my case by adding a similar white panel with a sentiment, ribbon tab and decorative paper peeking out on the bottom. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Retro Sketches Challenge #53

Image
Hey friends, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Retro Sketches Challenge #53. I used this ketch as a way of using more of my patterned paper. How do you like that little Easter girl silhouette stamp? She was in the dollar bin at Michael's. I tell you, they have the cutest dollar rubber mounted stamps ever. Thanks for topping by, Brandi

CASE this Sketch #17

Hey friends, I wanted to pop in quickly to share a card I made for the latest CASE this Sketch Challenge #17. This is the perfect sketch to use up some left over patterned paper. Right? Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

CASology Challenge #33

Image
Hey friends, I'm popping in with a card for the latest CASology Challenge #33. The theme this week is circles. I bought this cute circle, polka dot stamp set from Neat and Tangled called Party Dots that can be found here.  A couple of weeks ago  Chari  shared a tutorial on ways to expand the use of this set and I took on the challenge and it worked. You can see her technique  here for more information. The technique involves combining a couple of different inks and turning the stamp 180 degrees to get a different look with the big circle stamp. Neat, right? Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Muse Challenge #6

Image
Hey friends, How's your weekend so far? I'm going to pop out in a bit to get a pedi/mani because I'm in need of some pampering time. Do you love a nice spa day like me? I have a few friends who hate going to the spa because they get weirded out when people touch their feet or give them massages. To each their own, right? I find it so relaxing! I did want to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #6. The inspirational card this week is by Deanna and it is so bright and fun! I was inspired by the placement of the flowers and sentiment. I also love the idea of a hand drawn border tying everything together. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi
