10 Minutes Or Less

Image
Hey friends, I woke up to a snowy scene outside my window and it's so pretty! How is the weather where you are? I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge #12. The color choices this week reminded me of spring and Easter. So I searched through my supplies and picked this little Easter Bunny. I kept the layout pretty simple as I'm only working with 10 minutes. I actually finished the card in 9 minutes and 56 seconds. I cut it real close. LOL! Whew! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Camera Craze

Image
Hey friends, The Moxie Fab World is holding a Camera Craze Challenge and I had to play just one more time. I was really inspired by one of the inspirational images. It is the cutest little instagram coin purse that can be found here on etsy. Because I only have one camera stamp in my supplies, I had to be creative. So I made the camera embellishment that is on my card. I added a few scrabble tiles for the sentiment and that's pretty much it. Easy, Peasy! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

CAS(E) this Sketch #16

Image
Hey friends, How was your weekend? Did any of you watch the Oscar's last night. I did and that's why I'm so exhausted. LOL! They ran a little late last night on the east coast. I normally don't watch those type of shows but I wanted to see who won best actress and motion picture. I won't say who won, if you have it recorded to watch later. All I am going to say is that I'm glad who won! I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #16. I bought these key images in the dollar bin at AC Moore and pulled them out for this card. The hubby and I are going to give this, as a birthday card, to his dad. It turned out masculine, right? Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Girl On Fire

Image
When I saw this week's CASology Challenge #32 cue word "Flame", I knew exactly the route I wanted to take my card. I am a huge fan of Alicia Keys song "Girl on Fire". Have you heard of it? You can see the video here! Such a girl power song. So with this card I made a little picture diagram. This would be a great card to give a best friend who has received a job promotion, graduated college or kicked butt in some way. Right? LOL! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Pinspired Challenge #3

Image
Hey friends, I'm back with a card for the latest Pinspired Challenge #3. I'm trying to steer away from Valentine / Love cards and focus on other themes but I had to make one more for this challenge. The inspirational picture just screams hearts, pink, red and sweet. Don't you think? I pulled out a cupcake image from one of my PTI sets and added a few embellishments. Don't you think that little clothes pin is the cutest ever? I bought some stamps one time and received a little something extra of twine. This little guy was keeping the twine together. Have a great day! Brandi

Take a Picture

Image
Hey friends, How was your weekend? Well the movie won out over the housework yesterday and the hubby and I went to see the new "Die Hard" movie. You know what? I really liked it. It was just nice to go somewhere and not have to think about anything for a couple of hours and eat popcorn. LOL! I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges. I was inspired by the sketch from Lucy's Card Sketch Challenge - Day #2. I also, dug through my stash of stamps and found the one camera image I have to participate in the Moxie Fab Camera Craze Challenge. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Little Tangles Challenge #6

Image
Hey friends, How's the weekend going? I was able to do a little crafting yesterday and made a card for the latest Little Tangles Challenge #6. The theme this week is "Love, Love, Love". I paper pieced this cute little bird from the "My Heart Sings" set, you can find here. Well that's it for me today. The hubby and I have housework planned but maybe I can urge him to go see a movie instead! LOL! Take care, Brandi

Muse Challenge #4

Image
Hey friends, Hope you are having a great Saturday. I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #4. The card this week was provided by Therese. Her card is so cute! What inspired me about this card was the layout and the glass image. I started with a center white panel and added two other layers to each side, just like her card. As for the glass image, I had a teacup stamp that I thought would work well. I masked it off to create a stacking affect for the height. I placed my sentiment and hand drawn lines in a similar location too. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Be My Valentine

Image
Hey friends, Well it's officially Valentine's Day and I am so excited. I just love this holiday, so full of hearts, chocolates and cards. I have a special surprise for my hubby but since he reads my blog from time to time, I will have to wait to share. How are you celebrating the day? I stumbled upon a new fun challenge called "CAS on Sunday". The theme this week is "Be My Valentine". If you like clean and simple approach to cards then this challenge is for you. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine's Day! Brandi

CAS(E) this Sketch #14

Image
Hey friends, Hope you had a great weekend. I wanted to share with you a card I made for the latest CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #14. I was at AC Moore the other day and found this cute bunny and carrot stamp in the dollar bin. Isn't it cute? Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Lazy Sunday

Image
Lazy Sunday is exactly what my day has been. The hubby and I did manage to do a little housework but he is off taking a nap while I am crafting a bit. I made a card for a couple of challenges. I used the sketch from Unscripted Sketches Challenge #197 and the theme (Love Song) from CAS-ual Friday Challenge #89. The song I chose was "Wild Thing". I am not sure who sings it but I just love that catchy tune. Wild thing.....You make my heart sing.....You make everything, groovy......LOL! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Muse Challenge #3

Image
Hey friends, Remember the other day when I was telling you how excited I was about the huge snow storm (a foot or more) that was coming? Well it mainly missed us and we only got about 5 inches. I know some of you are like "That's still tons of snow" but in upstate NY that can melt in one week. I wanted buckets full to last the rest of winter because there is something so beautiful about looking out the window and everything covered with clean, white snow! At least we did get enough for that though and hopefully if the temperature remains low enough, it will last awhile. :) I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Muse Challenge #3. The Muse this week is Laurie. I just adore Laurie's work. She has such a clean and simple approach to her cards. What inspired my design was Laurie's color combo and her green patterned paper. It inspired me to recreate my own patterned paper using flower stamps. I could not over look her use of perfectly pla

Card Sketch Challenge

Image
Hey friends, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for Lucy's Card Sketch  Challenge . I pulled out my new Mama Elephant valentine set and inked it up. I feel like I need to add something but don't know what. Bling? Are any of you in the Northeast gearing up for the huge snow storm? I hope we get the foot or more expected. How fun would that be. Snow time = craft time! LOL! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Retro Sketches #49

Image
Hey friends, I wanted to share a card I made for the latest Retro Sketches Challenge #49. I know I might be using this sentiment and heart stamp too much but I can't get enough of them. Did I tell you I bought them in the Michael's dollar bin? I wanted to give a big shout out to one of the DT members Kasia who just had a beautiful baby boy. Congratulations! I can't believe she was able to participate in the challenge this week. Wow! That shows dedication!

CAS(E) this Sketch #13

Image
Hey friends, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #13. I was able to use various patterned papers that I had in my studio. I started buying these 6x6 patterned pads at AC Moore and love them (My Mind's Eye, Basic Grey and etc). I find that I use them more than when buying single 12x12 individual sheets. I think it is all the variety and the various sheets in the sets that work so well together, whether it be the patterns or colors. What do you buy? Individual sheets or 6x6 pads? Have a great day, Brandi
