New Years Eve

Image
Hey friends, Are you like me and making a list of your New Years Eve resolutions? I have a few in my head and am hoping that they are not to big to accomplish. One of my goals in 2013 is to hopefully spend more time pursuing my card making hobby. I would like to focus more time updating my blog and focus on some magazine publication calls. I have yet to do that. I love looking through the magazines (papercraft) and seeing so many of my friends names there. It must be exciting! Anywho, I had some free time over my holiday break to make a card for the latest BE inspired challenge #18. I have a few TAWS stamp sets but no holiday ones, that is why I focused mostly on the color scheme in lieu of the holiday theme. I just adore this ladybug image and I used a technique to mirror the image. That way there are two of them looking at each other, in love! LOL! Happy New Years Eve, Brandi

10 Minutes or Less

Image
Hey crafty friends... The 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge #9 and CAS-ual Friday Challenge #83 teamed up together to sponsor a holiday theme challenge! This was the first time I actually challenged myself to finish a card in under 10 minutes. Wow was it harder than I thought. I did finish in a time of 7 minutes and 20 seconds but I was getting nervous and all jittery. LOL! Brandi

Retro Sketches #44

Image
Hey friends, I wanted to pop in to share a card for the latest Retro Sketches Challenge  #44.  The sketch this week is from a card Arielle created a while ago that can be found here! The DT has a surprise for Arielle this week. She just celebrated her 40th birthday and we made her a few birthday cards to celebrate her birthday! Wouldn't it be fun if you could play along and wish her a Happy Birthday with a card of your own? It is not required, only for fun! So from me to you Arielle, I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday, you ROCK! One last thing, I would like to thank Arielle, Laurie and Kasia for the opportunity of having me as December's guest designer. I have had a blast working next to these talented ladies all month! Big Hugs! Brandi

Merry Christmas

Image
Hey friends, Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you! I hope your holidays have been a success. If you are anything like the hubby and I, we are exhausted. All of the anticipation and excitement has been awesome but now it's time to settle in for the night and relax. While the hubby is checking out the NY Knicks game, I wanted to upload a card I made for the first ever Mama Elephant Challenge that can be found here! I just love the new stamp line out by Mama Elephant. I wanted to ink up my Christmas set one more time before I venture on to other holiday cards. Maybe Valentine's Day? LOL! Brandi

Merry Christmas Eve

Image
Hey friends, Merry Christmas Eve to all of you! I have been finishing up some last minute things to do while waiting on the hubby to get off of work. I am so ready to kick off the holidays. Tonight the hubby and I will be cruising around town with a nice cup of cocoa while taking in the sights of all the pretty Christmas lights. Since I had the day off, I took a little time to make a card for the latest Little Tangles Challenge #3. The theme this week is a color combo consisting of turquoise, red and white. Although I have sent all of my Christmas cards out, I couldn't resist making another. LOL! Have a very Merry Christmas! Brandi

Hey friends, Well it's the weekend and I am so excited to be done with Christmas to-dos! Shopping - done, Christmas cards - done and wrapping - done. Now I can sit back and enjoy the week leading up to the holidays. What's on your agenda this weekend? I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Retro-Sketches challenge #42. You can see the other DT's fabulous creations and original card that inspired the sketch over at the Retro Sketches blog! Brandi

Retro Sketches #41

Hey friends, Hope your having a great weekend. The hubby and I are going to be busy, busy this weekend trimming the tree and getting the house ready for Christmas. I love this time of year! I wanted to pop in today to share a card with you for the latest Retro Sketches Challenge  #41 . The sketch this week is so fun. It was inspired by this original  card  from Kasia. I used this sketch to make another Christmas card using one of my favorite  sets from Wplus9 (Iconic Christmas). I hope you can stop by and play along this week! Brandi

You Are A Treasure

Hey friends, Hope you are enjoying the weekend. I was able to scoot out a bit yesterday to do a little Christmas shopping with my mother-in-law at the outlets. Only problem, we bought for ourselves! LOL! There were to many cute items that were calling our names. Oh well, better luck next time, right? I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges (CASE This Sketch Challenge #7 and CASology Challenge #21 ). I just love these challenge sites! They are so full of inspiration by their DT's and have great themes / sketches every week. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi
