2 Sketches 4 You #64

Image
Hey y'all, While the hubby is laying on the couch watching Lebron James take on the Boston Celtics, I am using this as an opportunity to upload a card I made for the 2 Sketches 4 You #64  Challenge.   I am a huge sports nut. I love football, baseball and even golf but I can not find a fascination with basketball. I enjoyed watching some college basketball games when I was actually in college at Louisiana Tech (Go Dawgs), and during March I love filling out the March Madness brackets but that's about it. Do you girls follow basketball at all? With this particular challenge I made another holiday card to add to my stash. I flipped the sketch to work with my card. Wow are these challenges helping me get my Christmas cards finished early or what? Love it! Hopefully this year I won't receive the backlash from sending out store bought ones like last year! Thanks for popping by, Brandi

Play Date Color Challenge #52

Image
Hey y'all, I'm popping in to share a card I made for the latest Play Date Color Challenge  #52.  The color combo would be perfect for a spring card, but seeing that it is almost winter, a Christmas card it shall be. I created this clean and simple card with one of my favorite stamp sets, Vintage Ornaments, by Papertrey Ink. Thanks for popping in for a peek! Brandi

Rudolph the Pink Nose Reindeer? What?

Hey y'all, It is Thursday which means tomorrow is Friday! Whoo Hoo! I have a busy weekend ahead of me. The hubby and I are going to take part in some fun fall festivities, if the weather stays nice. On the agenda we have some pumpkin carving, corn mazes and a little haunted movie called "Paranormal Activity 2" opens this weekend! Time to get scared! If the movie is anything like the first one, I will probably not sleep without a chair propped up against the bedroom door for a week! I wanted to make a Christmas card using the colors for the latest On Cue Color  Challenge . I love the color pink and thought that Rudolph might want to spice things up a little bit with a pink nose. LOL! Thanks for stopping by for a visit and hopefully I will be able to post some pics this weekend of our carved pumpkins! Brandi

Shake, Rattle and Roll...

Hey girls, Just popping in to share a card I made for the latest Curtain Call Color Challenge. I just love the colors Stacey came up with this week. They are so bright and cheery! I bought these cute little flowers at Michael's a while back and thought that they would work well with the design of the card. What do you think? Have any of you girls carved a pumpkin yet? The hubby kept telling me all day that he had a surprise for me when I got off of work. I had no clue what it could be until I pulled in the garage and he had two big pumpkins, a carving set and a design booklet with different images to carve into the pumpkins. I was so excited. We love Halloween and take pumpkin carving very serious, as we see it as a competition. Each year we separately carve an elaborate design and than take pictures and have our family decide the winner. It is all in fun, but I did win last year! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Tutti Frutti...

Image
Hola Chicas! Hope you are doing fabulous on this first Monday of October! It is only 6:30 in the evening and it is already dark outside. No more sunny until 8:00 anymore? Shorter days is what the fall tends to bring, which sometimes can make me lazy. I plan on working on that this year, to stay energetic throughout the evening instead of curling up on the couch by the fire.  How does your routine change when the fall is here? I made a card for the latest Scrappy Saturday Challenge at Wee Memories. The theme this week is Tutti Frutti. The object is to incorporate some type of fruit in your design. I had these chocolate dipped strawberry stamps just laying around, so I thought "Perfect", what is better than fruit dipped in chocolate? On a side note, many of you may or may not know that the hubby and I are die hard NY Jets fan. I mean die hard. Not crazy paint your face and body green and white, but definitely jersey wearing, yelling at the TV sports enthusiast! That's

Little One...

Hey girls! Popping in this wonderful football filled Sunday to share a card I made for the latest Practicing Creativity Challenge. Courtney is such a talented crafter and stamp designer and this months sets seems to be better than the last, if that's possible. You can hop over to her blog to check out sneak peeks of things to come this month. She is kicking of the week by holding a challenge that involves creating a card using one of the stamp sets in her line. I chose to use the Whole Cycle set that can be viewed here in full. I created a baby card with the little wagon and patterned nursery rhyme paper. That's all I have for today. I need to go find my Sanchez (NY Jets) jersey, put it on and get ready for the big game! Talk to you later, Brandi

Snowball Fight Anyone?

Hey girls! Hope you all are enjoying this weekend and the gorgeous weather. At least it is sunny and breezy here in upstate NY. I took a break from setting out the fall decorations and working on our house to create a Clean and Simple card for the latest Challenge over at Caardvarks. There is still a day left, so hop on over and have some fun! I hope you girls have had a wonderful World Card Making Day and have taken some time for yourself to create! Talk to you later, Brandi

Pumpkin Patch...

Hi girls! I am so excited that I was able to spend some time in the craft room this evening creating a card for the latest 2S4Y  Challenge #62. I recently won this pumpkin patch digital image in some blog candy from Jane! She is super talented and designs various digital images under the name Jane's Doodles. If you are interested in this image, you can find it here! Before I go, I just want to say that I appreciate each and everyone of you that stop by for a visit. It brings a smile to my face! Brandi
