Hey girls, Just popping in really quick to share a card I made for the latest 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge #61. This is the first time I tried the distress look on a card. What do you think? Sorry for such a short post but Survivor is on and the hubby has it paused for me! Talk to you later, Brandi

Curtain Call Color Challenge #48...

Image
Hey y'all, Hope your day is going well! I wanted to pop in quickly, before the new fall tv shows start tonight, to show you a card I made recently. Is it just me or are there so many new shows out this fall to choose from? The hubby and I have our favorites (Survivor, NCIS and CSI) but there are a few that look to good to pass up like Hawaii Five-O and The Event. What new shows are you into? This card is for the latest Curtain Call Color Challenge #48. There were various colors in this challenge but I still had to use brown for the turkey body. Oops! Oh well, I tried! :) Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

One Layer Wednesday Challenge #20...

Image
Hey girls, Hope your week was off to a great start. It was hard for me to get back into the routine of things after being on vacation for a week, but I managed after a couple cups of coffee! :) The first day of fall starts this Wednesday, Whoo-Hoo! It already feels like it here in upstate NY. There is chatter of corn mazes and pumpkin pickin' among friends. I am most excited about it being football (NY Jets) season. We beat the New England Patriots yesterday, so all was well in our household. The hubby takes that stuff pretty seriously. Anywho, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the One Layer Wednesday Challenge. The goal of the challenge this week was to incorporate 3 images and 1 sentiment for a clean and simple card. I appreciate y'all stopping by for a visit and a big thank you to all the blog buddies that leave me comments! It really makes me smile! Brandi

Refreshed and Relaxed...

Hey girls, I am back from my vacation to Disney World with the hubby and we had a wonderful time. We spent a week hanging at the water parks, eating wonderful food (lobster and filet at "The Grand Floridian") was our favorite, and getting massages! We do not have children yet, so we decided to take a late summer vacation when most children in the US are back at school. That way the lines at the parks were not as long. I have a picture that I wanted to share with you girls. I know that a few of you that read my blog are food artist, so I had to attach this photo of a chocolate mousse the hubby and I ordered while we were dining at a Canadian restaurant in Epcot! I thought it was so cute! Thanks for stopping by and I will be back later this week with some cards! Brandi

Cool, Crisp Fall...

Image
Hey chicas! I am so happy to be back in the blog world. I have had so many things on my plate lately with our house and getting ready for our upcoming vacation to Disney that I haven't had much time to spend in the craft room. But alas, here I am with a card that celebrates my favorite time of year. Just today I started to feel a glimpse of the cool, crisp air of fall. I know that any minute the pumpkins are going to be carved, apple cider doughnuts are going to be eaten and corn mazes are going to be traveled through! This past weekend I was able to indulge in the first of many pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks! They are sooooo delicious! Well I won't keep you long, got a list a mile long of things to do. Thanks for taking the time to stop by! Brandi
