To Mom With Love...

Image
I took the time this weekend to make a few Mother's Day cards for my friends Mom's. I used some designer series paper from Stampin' Up that involves various pinks, peaches and creams. I love how they work together. With this particular card I used a stick pin embellishment with various crystals and pearls and buttons! Got to love the buttons!

Christmas in April?

Hey all! I have had this christmas paper in my stash for a while now and wanted to do something with it. I found this paper with vintage Christmas ornaments on it at a local craft store a while back and thought one day (more likely in December) I could make some cute Christmas cards with it. Well Christmas came early a couple of days ago because I was inspired to create the cards. When I sit down to make a card whether it is summer or winter, I do not stick with the nearest holiday. I design for the holiday "I" am feeling at that point! On a side note, tomorrow I am heading into the city to see the NY Mets take on the Brewers. This will be my first time in the new 600 million dollar Mets Stadium. From what I have seen and heard the stadium is top notch, from restuarants to entertainment. They even have a sushi bar. What? At a ballpark? I hope the hot dogs are great because sushi and I don't mix! "If it ain't cooked, it ain't for me"! HE HE! Below I have

I am back with another card for the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #3 by http://dawnmcvey.typepad.com/ . I found these fabric strawberries by Martha Stewart and just had to have them. I was lucky that they worked with the colors Dawn chose this week. Let me know what you think!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #3

While blogging I came across a site I visit frequently for inspiration. Dawn at http://www.dawnmcvey.typepad.com/ has wonderful ideas and color schemes for cards. She recently started a Color Challenge. The challenge involves her picking a few colors from a photo and having us create a card using those colors. I used kraft, vanilla, berry, red and soft pink to create the following card. I love these colors together, so much so, that I made a second card that I will show tomorrow!

Color Inspiration Challenge #48

I am back with a Color Inspiration Challenge by Kristina ( http://www.kwernerdesign.com/ ). I always love doing these challenges. It helps me to use colors that I would not normally put together. The colors this week are Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. This turned out to be a great combo.

Mother's Day

I got these new flowers from making memories that I absolutely love. They are a mixture of bold colors (maroon, blue and green). I thought they would be a great accent for a Mother's Day card. What do you think?

Hoppy Birthday!

One of my all time favorite stamp sets from "Stampin' Up" is this frog stamp set I got a couple of years ago. The frogs are adorable and every now and then, I like to get them out and use them. I made this birthday card with some random bright colored paper I found at the craft store. One thing I am completely addicted to and seem to be using a lot lately are the colored rhinestones. I just can't get enough of them!
